The Washington Metro, which services the entire D.C. and near suburb areas, runs right below the hotel so there is indoor access directly to the system. This is a first class hotel and an exceptional value at this price. Our visit to the Wall will be on Friday morning so come early and join us. Click this to see Who's Coming..... Fellow Mohawkers: Registrations for the reunion hotel are doing well and we aren't far from reaching our total number of rooms that have been allocated at the special group rates. However, many who have registered for the hotel still haven't registered to attend the reunion. And, more importantly, many that plan to attend this year's reunion haven't registered for a room OR to attend. We really need to know who is coming so we can better plan the events with the hotel. Also, by registering now, it allows us to make the advanced payments to the hotel that they require assuring us the correct size meeting and entertainment rooms and food and drinking services. So, if you haven't registered yet to attend or haven't made your hotel reservations, we strongly ask you to do it as soon as possible. Also, if you live in or near the D.C. area and plan to attend but not stay at the hotel, we need you to get your registration in ASAP so we can get a head count for the events, especially our visit to "The Wall" on Friday morning. To bring you up to speed, the planning is nearly in its final stages. Remember, this location, being a premium site for our reunion, has afforded us the challenge of setting up larger events and planning for in-hotel and out-of-hotel activities. No one will go away unsatisfied by their decision to attend. Recently, Joe DiMaggio and Gary Alton spent time at the hotel meeting with the gentleman who has been assigned as our Reunion Coordinator. They discussed our individual events, the hotel rooms, and our food selections for the Friday evening reception and the Saturday banquet. They also requested, and were given, a tour of the event rooms to be sure that space was adequate and to our liking. As far as the individual rooms are concerned, everyone will be satisfied that, although higher in price than past reunions, we are getting a lot of bang for our bucks. So let me remind you again, as we draw ever closer to the deadline dates and times, get your registration forms and fees in ASAP....Or Click here for On-Line Registration and Payment via Pay-Pal. Let all of us make sure that this becomes the GREATEST Reunion in the history of the OV-1 Mohawk Association Ron Wheeler |
